  1. So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

  10. Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

  11. and that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  12. For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

  13. not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

  14. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

  15. how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;

  16. For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

  17. Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

  18. and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

  19. and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;

  20. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak:

  21. for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

  22. Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

  23. Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

  24. who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

  25. receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
