  1. and said, My lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

  2. let now a little water be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

  3. and I will fetch a morsel of bread, and strengthen ye your heart; after that ye shall pass on: forasmuch as ye are come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

  4. And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes.

  5. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto the servant; and he hasted to dress it.

  6. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

  7. And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.

  8. The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

  9. He doth execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth the sojourner, in giving him food and raiment.

  10. Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

  11. When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then thou shalt give it unto the Levite, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled.

  12. And thou shalt say before Jehovah thy God, I have put away the hallowed things out of my house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed any of thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

  13. Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:

  14. She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:

  15. She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:

  16. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,

  17. Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.

  18. Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, Neither desire thou his dainties:

  19. For as he thinketh within himself, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; But his heart is not with thee.

  20. The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, And lose thy sweet words.

  21. Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

  22. Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

  23. The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,

  24. and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast: and they would not come.

  25. Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.
