  1. I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign--

  8. God they profess to know, and in the works they deny Him , being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work disapproved.

  9. sober, pure, keepers of their own houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.

  10. not purloining, but showing all good stedfastness, that the teaching of God our Saviour they may adorn in all things.

  11. For the saving grace of God was manifested to all men,

  12. waiting for the blessed hope and manifestation of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,

  13. and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Saviour did appear

  14. Stedfast is the word; and concerning these things I counsel thee to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works--who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,

  15. Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!

  16. I give thanks to my God, always making mention of thee in my prayers,

  17. In many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,

  18. For to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art--I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

  19. and when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him--all messengers of God;'

  20. and unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, is to the age of the age; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy reign;

  21. thou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee--God, thy God--with oil of gladness above thy partners;'

  22. And unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'

  23. God also bearing joint-witness both with signs and wonders, and manifold powers, and distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will.

  24. and him who was made some little less than messengers we see--Jesus--because of the suffering of the death, with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for every one he might taste of death.

  25. saying, `I will declare Thy name to my brethren, in the midst of an assembly I will sing praise to Thee;' and again, `I will be trusting on Him;'
