  1. Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

  5. Then Ezra arose, and made the chiefs of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they would do according to this word. So they swore.

  6. Among the sons of the priests there were found who had married foreign women: of the sons of Yeshua, the son of Jozadak, and his brothers, Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.

  9. But you shall be named the priests of the LORD; men will call you the ministers of our God: you will eat the wealth of the nations, and you will boast in their glory.

  10. Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,

  11. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

  12. and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

  13. and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on earth.”

  14. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Messiah, and will reign with him one thousand years.
