  1. Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.

  2. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;

  10. When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God, and listen to his voice.

  11. For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

  12. Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

  13. For you separated them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be your inheritance, as you spoke by Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, Lord GOD.”

  14. You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

  15. “If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

  16. if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

  17. Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive, to the prayer that is made in this place.

  18. If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

  19. If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

  20. I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.

  21. You shall make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You shall pay your vows.

  22. He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.

  23. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
