  1. ¶ For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

  2. And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

  3. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

  4. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

  5. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

  6. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

  7. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

  8. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

  9. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

  10. ¶ For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

  11. Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

  12. And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

  13. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

  14. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

  15. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

  16. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

  17. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

  18. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

  19. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

  20. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

  21. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

  22. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

  23. ¶ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

  24. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

  25. Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
