  1. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

  2. And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

  3. Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

  4. Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

  5. ¶ Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

  6. ¶ Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

  7. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

  8. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

  9. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

  10. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

  11. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

  12. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

  13. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

  14. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

  15. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

  16. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

  17. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

  18. Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

  19. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

  20. Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

  21. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

  22. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

  23. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

  24. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

  25. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
