  1. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

  2. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

  3. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

  4. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

  5. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

  6. How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

  7. Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

  8. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

  9. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

  10. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

  11. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

  12. ¶ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

  13. Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

  14. Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

  15. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

  16. That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

  17. Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

  18. That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

  19. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

  20. Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

  21. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

  22. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

  23. ¶ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

  24. Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

  25. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
