  1. And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

  2. He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

  3. And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

  4. So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

  5. They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,

  6. The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

  7. For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

  8. Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

  9. And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

  10. Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

  11. And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

  12. My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

  13. Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

  14. That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

  15. And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

  16. But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

  17. And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

  18. For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

  19. Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

  20. ¶ Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

  21. You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

  22. O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

  23. For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

  24. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

  25. There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
