But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
¶ Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
¶ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
¶ Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
