Bible Verses About Slothfulness

The slouthfull man sayth, A lyon is in the way: a lyon is in the streetes.

As the doore turneth vpon his hinges, so doeth the slouthfull man vpon his bed.

The slouthfull hideth his hand in his bosome, and it grieueth him to put it againe to his mouth.

The sluggard is wiser in his owne conceite, then seuen men that can render a reason.

By slouthfulnes the roofe of the house goeth to decaie, and by the ydlenesse of the handes the house droppeth through.

Their watchmen are all blinde: they haue no knowledge: they are all dumme dogs: they can not barke: they lie and sleepe and delite in sleeping.

That ye be not slouthfull, but followers of them, which through faith and patience, inherite the promises.
