  1. And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

  2. The tenth also of this seuenth moneth shalbe a day of reconciliation: it shalbe an holie conuocation vnto you, and yee shall humble your soules, and offer sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord.

  3. And ye shall doe no worke that same day: for it is a day of reconciliation, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.

  4. For euery person that humbleth not himselfe that same day, shall euen be cut off from his people.

  5. And if ye walke stubburnly against me, and will not obey mee, I will then bring seuen times more plagues vpon you, according to your sinnes.

  6. I will also sende wilde beastes vpon you, which shall spoyle you, and destroy your cattell, and make you fewe in number: so your hye waies shalbe desolate.

  7. Yet if by these ye will not be reformed by me, but walke stubburnly against me,

  8. Then wil I also walke stubburnly against you, and I will smite you yet seuen times for your sinnes:

  9. So that when he heareth the words of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his heart, saying, I shall haue peace, although I walke according to the stubburnes of mine owne heart, thus adding drunkennesse to thirst.

  10. The Lord will not be mercifull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his ielousie shall smoke against that man, and euery curse that is written in this booke, shall light vpon him, and the Lord shall put out his name from vnder heauen,

  11. And the Lord shall separate him vnto euil out of all the tribes of Israel, according vnto all the curses of the couenant, that is written in the booke of this Lawe.

  12. God iudgeth the righteous, and him that contemneth God euery day.

  13. Except he turne, he hath whet his sword: he hath bent his bowe and made it readie.

  14. Hee hath also prepared him deadly weapons: hee will ordeine his arrowes for them that persecute me.

  15. The wicked are strangers from ye wombe: euen from the belly haue they erred, and speake lyes.

  16. Their poyson is euen like the poyson of a serpent: like ye deafe adder that stoppeth his eare.

  17. Which heareth not the voyce of the inchanter, though he be most expert in charming.

  18. But my people would not heare my voyce, and Israel would none of me.

  19. So I gaue them vp vnto the hardnesse of their heart, and they haue walked in their owne cousels.

  20. Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,

  21. But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.

  22. Because they rebelled against the wordes of the Lord, and despised the counsell of the most High,

  23. When he humbled their heart with heauines, then they fell downe and there was no helper.

  24. Because I haue called, and ye refused: I haue stretched out mine hand, and none woulde regarde.

  25. But ye haue despised all my counsell, and would none of my correction.
