  1. Six days thou shalt work: the seventh day thou shalt cease, that thy ox and thy ass may rest: and the son of thy handmaid and the stranger may be refreshed.

  2. Six days shalt thou work, the seventh day thou shalt cease to plough and to reap.

  3. The first day shall be most solemn unto you, and holy: you shall do no servile work therein.

  4. But you shall offer sacrifice in fire to the Lord seven days. And the seventh day shall be more solemn, and more holy: and you shall do no servile work therein.

  12. And the first day of them shall be venerable and holy: you shall not do any servile work therein.

  13. The seventh day also shall be most solemn and holy unto you, you shall do no servile work therein.

  14. The day also of firstfruits, when after the weeks are accomplished, you shall offer new fruits to the Lord, shall be venerable and holy: you shall do no servile work therein.

  15. The first day also of the seventh month shall be venerable and holy unto you; you shall do no servile work therein, because it is the day of the sounding and of trumpets.

  16. The tenth day also of this seventh month shall be holy and venerable unto you, and you shall afflict your souls; you shall do no servile work therein.

  17. And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, which shall be unto you holy and venerable, you shall do no servile work, but shall celebrate a solemnity to the Lord seven days.

  18. On the eighth day, which is most solemn, you shall do no servile work:

  19. And Jesus seeing great multitudes about him, gave orders to pass over the water.

  20. And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves, but he was asleep.

  21. Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: And you shall find rest to your souls.

  22. And he said to them: Come apart into a desert place, and rest a little. For there were many coming and going: and they had not so much as time to eat.

  23. And going up into a ship, they went into a desert place apart.

  24. And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with the angels of his power:

  25. Let us fear therefore lest, the promise being left of entering into his rest, any of you should be thought to be wanting.
