And God said: Let the earth bring forth the living creature in its kind, cattle and creeping things, and beasts of the earth, according to their kinds. And it was so done.
And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, and cattle, and every thing that creepeth on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.
But if thou wilt not let them go, behold I will strike all thy coasts with frogs.
These also shall be reckoned among unclean things, of all that move upon the earth. The weasel, and the mouse, and the crocodile, every one according to their kind:
The shrew, and the chameleon, and the stellio, and the lizard, and the mole.
All these are unclean. He that toucheth their carcasses shall be unclean until the evening.
And he that eateth or carrieth any thing thereof, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the evening.
All that creepeth upon the earth shall be abominable: neither shall it be taken for meat.
Whatsoever goeth upon the breast on four feet, or hath many feet, or traileth on the earth, you shall not eat, because it is abominable.
Do not defile your souls, nor touch aught thereof, lest you be unclean,
Lest perhaps being deceived you might make you a graven similitude, or image of male or female,
Or of creeping things, that move on the earth, or of fishes, that abide in the waters under the earth:
And was thy leader in the great and terrible wilderness, wherein there was the serpent burning with his breath, and the scorpion and the dipsas, and no waters at all: who brought forth streams out of the hardest rock,
Their wine is the gall of dragons, and the venom of asps, which is incurable.
And he treated about trees, from the cedar that is in Libanus, unto the hyssop that cometh out of the wall: and he discoursed of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
His spirit hath adorned the heavens, and his obstetric hand brought forth the winding serpent.
I was the brother of dragons, and companion of ostriches.

The horseleech hath two daughters that say: Bring, bring. There are three things that never are satisfied, and the fourth never saith: It is enough.
And the sucking child shall play on other hole of the asp: and the weaned child shall thrust his hand into the den of the basilisk.
