To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ:

And to enlighten all men, that they may see what is the dispensation of the mystery which hath been hidden from eternity in God who created all things:

That the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through the church,

According to the eternal purpose which he made in Christ Jesus our Lord:

And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

For which I am an ambassador in a chain: so that therein I may be bold to speak according as I ought.

For the hope that is laid up for you in heaven, which you have heard in the word of the truth of the gospel,

Which is come unto you, as also it is in the whole world and bringeth forth fruit and groweth, even as it doth in you, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth.

The mystery which hath been hidden from ages and generations, but now is manifested to his saints,

To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ, in you the hope of glory.

Whom we preach, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

Wherein also I labour, striving according to his working which he worketh in me in power.

For fornicators, for them who defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and whatever other thing is contrary to sound doctrine:

Which is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God which hath been committed to my trust.

But now he hath obtained a better ministry, by how much also he is a mediator of a better testament which is established on better promises.

For if that former had been faultless, there should not indeed a place have been sought for a second.

For, finding fault with them, he saith: Behold the days shall come, saith the Lord: and I will perfect, unto the house of Israel and unto the house of Juda, a new testament:

Not according to the testament which I made to their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt: because they continued not in my testament: and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind: and in their heart will I write them. And I will be their God: and they shall be my people.

And they shall not teach every man his neighbour and every man his brother, saying: Know the Lord. For all shall know me, from the least to the greatest of them.

Because I will be merciful to their iniquities: and their sins I will remember no more.

Now in saying a new, he hath made the former old. And that which decayeth and groweth old is near its end.

The Holy Ghost signifying this: That the way into the Holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.

Which is a parable of the time present: according to which gifts and sacrifices are offered, which cannot, as to the conscience, make him perfect that serveth, only in meats and in drinks,

And divers washings and justices of the flesh laid on them until the time of correction.
