And when he hath let out his own sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Abide in me: and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me.
I am the vine: you the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.
When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs.
Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize. So run that you may obtain.
But now there are many members indeed, yet one body.
Now you are the body of Christ and members of member.
Brethren, do not become children in sense. But in malice be children: and in sense be perfect.
That you may be blameless and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation: among whom you shine as lights in the world.
Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with secular businesses: that he may please him to whom he hath engaged himself.
For he also that striveth for the mastery is not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth: and some indeed unto honour, but some unto dishonour.
And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us:
As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance,
As newborn babes, desire the rational milk without guile, that thereby you may grow unto salvation:
Be you also as living stones built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you, as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,
