  1. They said to Yirmeyahu, "May ADONAI be a true and faithful witness against us if we fail to do any part of what ADONAI your God gives you to tell us.

  2. Whether it be good or bad, we will listen to what ADONAI our God says. We are dispatching you to him so that things will go well with us, as we heed what ADONAI our God says."

  3. As Yeshua entered K'far-Nachum, a Roman army officer came up and pleaded for help.

  4. "Sir, my orderly is lying at home paralyzed and suffering terribly!"

  5. Yeshua said, "I will go and heal him."

  6. But the officer answered, "Sir, I am unfit to have you come into my home. Rather, if you will only give the command, my orderly will recover.

  7. For I too am a man under authority. I have soldiers under me, and I say to this one, `Go!' and he goes; to another, `Come!' and he comes; to my slave, `Do this!' and he does it."

  8. On hearing this Yeshua was amazed and said to the people following him, "Yes! I tell you, I have not found anyone in Isra'el with such trust!

  9. Moreover, I tell you that many will come from the east and from the west to take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven with Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya`akov.

  10. But those born for the Kingdom will be thrown outside in the dark, where people will wail and grind their teeth!"

  11. Then Yeshua said to the officer, "Go; let it be for you as you have trusted." And his orderly was healed at that very moment.

  12. and began running around throughout that whole region and bringing sick people on their stretchers to any place where they heard he was.

  13. Wherever he went, in towns, cities or country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the tzitzit on his robe, and all who touched it were healed.

  14. First of all, then, I counsel that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all human beings,

  15. including kings and all in positions of prominence; so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives, being godly and upright in everything.

  16. Is someone among you ill? He should call for the elders of the congregation. They will pray for him and rub olive oil on him in the name of the Lord.

  17. The prayer offered with trust will heal the one who is ill — the Lord will restore his health; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

  18. Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

  19. Eliyahu was only a human being like us; yet he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and no rain fell on the Land for three years and six months.

  20. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the Land produced its crops.

  21. My brothers, if one of you wanders from the truth, and someone causes him to return,

  22. you should know that whoever turns a sinner from his wandering path will save him from death and cover many sins.
