Bible Verses About Lebanon
Key Bible Verses
Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing of it:
the five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites who lived on Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to the entrance of Hamath.
They were left to test Israel by them, to know whether they would listen to the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.
For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars.
It was covered with cedar above over the forty-five beams, that were on the pillars; fifteen in a row.
There were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.
All the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.
I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon.
His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.
Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
