Verses Mentioning Zion
In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem, “Don’t be afraid, Zion. Don’t let your hands be weak.”
So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of Hosts: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
“Proclaim further, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of Hosts: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’”
‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’
Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in your midst,’ says the LORD.
Thus says the LORD of Hosts: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.”
Thus says the LORD: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of the LORD of Hosts, ‘The Holy Mountain.’”
Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man.
“Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
“Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
even as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.”
and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written, “There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
Because it is contained in Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen, and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”
