Aaron
Verses Mentioning Aaron
David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, forever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister to him, and to bless in his name, forever.
For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the LORD’s house, in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;
and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, and the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers, for the service of the LORD’s house.
These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
This was their ordering in their service, to come into the LORD’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers’ households of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
Haven’t you driven out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made priests for yourselves after the ways of the peoples of other lands? so that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, the same may be a priest of those who are no gods.
“But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and we have priests ministering to the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:
and they resisted Uzziah the king, and said to him, “It isn’t for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD, but for the priests the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary; for you have trespassed; neither shall it be for your honor from the LORD God.”
They brought seven bulls, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. He commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all who were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.
Afterward they prepared for themselves, and for the priests, because the priests the sons of Aaron were busy with offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night: therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
the son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest;
The priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house.
All Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required: and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.
You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on the LORD, and he answered them.
He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, the LORD’s holy one.
House of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
The LORD remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
Let the house of Aaron now say that his loving kindness endures forever.
It is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aaron’s beard; that came down on the edge of his robes;
House of Israel, praise the LORD! House of Aaron, praise the LORD!
