  13. For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

  14. Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

  15. For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

  16. He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

  17. ¶ Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

  18. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  19. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

  20. ¶ That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

  21. The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

  22. He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

  23. The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

  24. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

  25. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
