  1. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

  2. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

  3. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

  4. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

  5. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

  6. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  7. ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

  8. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

  9. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

  10. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

  11. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

  12. ¶ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

  13. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

  14. ¶ All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

  15. Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

  16. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

  17. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

  18. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

  19. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

  20. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

  21. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

  22. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

  23. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

  24. ¶ Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

  25. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
