  1. Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

  2. Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

  9. And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

  10. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

  11. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

  12. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

  13. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

  14. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  15. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

  16. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

  17. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

  18. ¶ And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

  19. And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

  20. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

  21. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

  22. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

  23. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

  24. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

  25. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
