  1. For inquire now of the dayes that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man vpon the earth, and aske from the one ende of heauen vnto the other, if there came to passe such a great thing as this, or whether any such like thing hath bene heard.

  2. Did euer people heare the voyce of God speaking out of the middes of a fire, as thou hast heard, and liued?

  3. Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from among nations, by tentations, by signes, and by wonders, and by warre, and by a mightie hand, and by a stretched out arme, and by great feare, according vnto all that the Lord your God did vnto you in Egypt before your eyes?

  4. Vnto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest knowe, that the Lord hee is God, and that there is none but he alone.

  5. Vnderstande therefore this day, and consider in thine heart, that the Lord, he is God in heauen aboue, and vpon the earth beneath: there is none other.

  6. Thou shalt keepe therefore his ordinances, and his commandements which I commaund thee this day, that it may goe well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayst prolong thy dayes vpon the earth, which the Lord thy God giueth thee for euer.

  7. Heare, O Israel, The Lord our God is Lord onely,

  8. And thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy might.

  9. Behold now, for I, I am he, and there is no gods with me: I kill, and giue life: I wound, and I make whole: neither is there any that can deliuer out of mine hand.

  10. Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that wee haue heard with our eares.

  11. And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and saide, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.

  12. Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we haue heard with our eares.

  13. Thou art Lord alone: thou hast made heauen, and the heauen of all heauens, with all their hoste, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and al that are in them, and thou preseruest them all, and the host of the heauen worshippeth thee.

  14. That they may knowe that thou, which art called Iehouah, art alone, euen the most High ouer all the earth.

  15. For thou art great and doest wonderous things: thou art God alone.

  16. Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hostes, I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.

  17. Feare ye not, neither be afraide: haue not I tolde thee of olde, and haue declared it? you are euen my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I knowe not.

  18. Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.

  19. I am the Lord and there is none other: there is no God besides me: I girded thee though thou hast not knowen me,

  20. That they may knowe from the rising of the sunne and from the West, that there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is none other.

  21. I forme the light and create darkenes: I make peace and create euill: I the Lord doe all these things.

  22. Ye heauens, send the dewe from aboue, and let the cloudes droppe downe righteousnesse: let the earth open, and let saluation and iustice growe foorth: let it bring them foorth together: I the Lord haue created him.

  23. For thus saith the Lord (that created heauen, God himselfe, that formed the earth, and made it: he that prepared it, he created it not in vaine: he formed it to be inhabited) I am the Lord, and there is none other.

  24. Tell ye and bring them, and let them take counsell together, who hath declared this from the beginning? or hath tolde it of olde? Haue not I the Lord? and there is none other God beside me, a iust God, and a Sauiour: there is none beside me.

  25. Looke vnto me, and ye shall be saued: all the endes of the earth shall be saued: for I am God, and there is none other.
