  1. When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,

  2. Take heede therefore, that ye doe as the Lord your God hath commanded you: turne not aside to the right hand nor to the left,

  3. Thou shalt be vpright therefore with the Lord thy God.

  4. Be ye therefore of a valiant courage, to obserue and doe all that is written in the booke of the Lawe of Moses, that ye turne not therefrom to the right hand nor to the left,

  5. Let your heart therefore be perfit with the Lord our God to walke in his statutes, and to keepe his commandements, as this day.

  6. And thou, Salomon my sonne, know thou the God of thy father, and serue him with a perfit heart, and with a willing minde: For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and vnderstandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seeke him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for euer.

  7. And giue vnto Salomon my sonne a perfit heart to keepe thy commandements, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to doe all things, and to builde the house which I haue prepared.

  8. If they sinne against thee ( for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them and deliuer them vnto the enemies, and they take them and cary them away captiue vnto a land farre or neere,

  9. If I woulde iustifie my selfe, mine owne mouth shall condemne mee: if I would be perfite, he shall iudge me wicked.

  10. Though I were perfite, yet I knowe not my soule: therefore abhorre I my life.

  11. God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way vpright.

  12. For the Lawe of his God is in his heart, and his steppes shall not slide.

  13. Marke the vpright man, and beholde the iust: for the end of that man is peace.

  14. I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

  15. Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.

  16. ALEPH. Blessed are those that are vpright in their way, and walke in the Lawe of the Lord.

  17. Blessed are they that keepe his testimonies, and seeke him with their whole heart.

  18. Surely they woorke none iniquitie, but walke in his waies.

  19. Then should I not be confounded, when I haue respect vnto all thy commandements.

  20. I haue seene an ende of all perfection: but thy commandement is exceeding large.

  21. The Lord will performe his worke toward me: O Lord, thy mercie endureth for euer: forsake not the workes of thine handes.

  22. For the iust shall dwell in the land, and the vpright men shall remaine in it.

  23. But the way of the righteous shineth as the light, that shineth more and more vnto the perfite day.

  24. It is good that thou lay hold on this: but yet withdrawe not thine hand from that: for he that feareth God, shall come forth of them all.

  25. Blessed are they which hunger and thirst for righteousnes: for they shalbe filled.
