  1. Moreouer, thou shalt not do iniurie to a stranger, neither oppresse him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

  2. Ye shall not trouble any widowe, nor fatherlesse childe.

  3. Thou shalt not receiue a false tale, neyther shalt thou put thine hande with the wicked, to be a false witnes.

  4. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do euil, neither agree in a controuersie to decline after many and ouerthrowe the trueth.

  5. Thou shalt not esteeme a poore man in his cause.

  6. Thou shalt not ouerthrowe the right of thy poore in his sute.

  7. Thou shalt keepe thee farre from a false matter, and shalt not slaye the innocent and the righteous: for I will not iustifie a wicked man.

  8. Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement, in line, in weight, or in measure.

  9. You shall haue iust ballances, true weightes, a true Ephah, and a true Hin. I am the Lord your God, which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt.

  10. Wrest not thou ye Law, nor respect any person, neither take rewarde: for the reward blindeth ye eyes of the wise, and peruerteth ye worde of ye iust.

  11. That which is iust and right shalt thou follow, that thou maiest liue, and possesse the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee.

  12. Thou shalt not peruert the right of the stranger, nor of the fatherlesse, nor take a widowes rayment to pledge.

  13. But remember that thou wast a seruant in Egypt, and howe the Lord thy God deliuered thee thence. Therefore I commaund thee to doe this thing.

  14. My face is withered with weeping, and the shadow of death is vpon mine eyes,

  15. Though there be no wickednesse in mine hands, and my prayer be pure.

  16. If I did contemne the iudgement of my seruant, and of my mayde, when they did contend with me,

  17. What then shall I do when God standeth vp? and when he shall visit me, what shall I answere?

  18. He that hath made me in the wombe, hath he not made him? hath not he alone facioned vs in the wombe?

  19. It is not for Kings, O Lemuel, it is not for Kings to drink wine nor for princes strog drinke,

  20. Lest he drinke and forget the decree, and change the iudgement of all the children of affliction.

  21. Thus saith the Lord, Execute ye iudgement and righteousnes, and deliuer the oppressed from the hande of the oppressor, and vexe not the stranger, the fatherlesse, nor the widowe: doe no violence, nor sheade innocent blood in this place.

  22. For if ye do this thing, then shall the kings sitting vpon the throne of Dauid enter in by the gates of this House, and ride vpon charets, and vpon horses, both he and his seruants and his people.

  23. But if ye will not heare these wordes, I sweare by my selfe, saith the Lord, that this House shalbe waste.

  24. In stamping vnder his feete all the prisoners of the earth,

  25. In ouerthrowing the right of a man before the face of the most high,
