  1. Shall man be more iust then God? or shall a man be more pure then his maker?

  2. Beholde, he founde no stedfastnesse in his Seruants, and laid follie vpon his Angels.

  3. Howe much more in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which shalbe destroyed before the moth?

  4. They be destroyed from the morning vnto the euening: they perish for euer, without regarde.

  5. Doeth not their dignitie goe away with them? do they not die, and that without wisdom?

  6. For thou wilt not leaue my soule in the graue: neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption.

  7. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is the fulnesse of ioy: and at thy right hand there are pleasures for euermore.

  8. Yet a man can by no meanes redeeme his brother: he can not giue his raunsome to God,

  9. (So precious is the redemption of their soules, and the continuance for euer)

  10. That he may liue still for euer, and not see the graue.

  11. Like sheepe they lie in graue: death deuoureth them, and the righteous shall haue domination ouer them in the morning: for their beautie shall consume, when they shall goe from their house to graue.

  12. But God shall deliuer my soule from the power of the graue: for he will receiue me. Selah.

  13. And I sayd, O my God, take me not away in the middes of my dayes: thy yeeres endure from generation to generation.

  14. Thou hast aforetime layde the foundation of the earth, and the heauens are the worke of thine hands.

  15. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: euen they all shall waxe olde as doeth a garment: as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed.

  16. But thou art the same, and thy yeeres shall not fayle.

  17. The children of thy seruants shall continue, and their seede shall stand fast in thy sight.

  18. A Psalme of David of Praise. O my God and King, I will extold thee, and will blesse thy Name for euer and euer.

  19. I will blesse thee dayly, and prayse thy Name for euer and euer.

  20. For the graue cannot confesse thee: death cannot praise thee: they that goe downe into the pit, cannot hope for thy trueth.

  21. But the liuing, the liuing, he shall confesse thee, as I doe this day: the father to the children shall declare thy trueth.

  22. And many of them that sleepe in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to euerlasting life, and some to shame and perpetuall contempt.

  23. And they that be wise, shall shine, as ye brightnes of the firmament: and they that turne many to righteousnes, shall shine as the starres, for euer and euer.

  24. And beholde, one came and sayd vnto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I doe, that I may haue eternall life?

  25. And he said vnto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, eue God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keepe ye commandemets.
