  1. Arabia, and all the princes of Cedar, they were the merchants of thy hand: thy merchants came to thee with lambs, and rams, and kids.

  2. You ate the milk, and you clothed yourselves with the wool, and you killed that which was fat: but my flock you did not feed.

  7. I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.

  8. And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, when he shall go through, and tread down, and take there is none to deliver.

  9. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

  10. But go ye rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

  11. And all nations shall be gathered together before him: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats:

  12. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.

  13. And when he hath found it, lay it upon his shoulders, rejoicing?

  14. I say to you that even so there shall be joy in heaven upon one sinner that doth penance, more than upon ninety-nine just who need not penance.

  15. Amen, amen, I say to you: He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold but climbeth up another way, the same is a thief and a robber.

  16. And when he hath let out his own sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.

  17. But a stranger they follow not, but fly from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.

  18. Jesus therefore said to them again: Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

  19. All others, as many as have come, are thieves and robbers: and the sheep heard them not.

  20. I am the door. By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved: and he shall go in and go out, and shall find pastures.

  21. The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they may have life and may have it more abundantly.

  22. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.

  23. But the hireling and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep and flieth: and the wolf casteth and scattereth the sheep,

  24. And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling: and he hath no care for the sheep.

  25. I am the good shepherd: and I know mine, and mine know me.
