Key Bible Verses
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised):
But without faith it is impossible to please God. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is: and is a rewarder to them that seek him.
But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men abundantly and upbraideth not. And it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, which is moved and carried about by the wind.
Therefore let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Draw nigh to God: and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be humbled in the sight of the Lord: and he will exalt you.
Is any of you sad? Let him pray: Is he cheerful in mind? Let him sing.
Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much.
Elias was a man passible like unto us: and with prayer he prayed that it might not rain upon the earth. And it rained not for three years and six months.
And he prayed again. And the heaven gave rain: and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Ye husbands, likewise dwelling with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the female as to the weaker vessel and as to the co-heirs of the grace of life: that your prayers be not hindered.
But the end of all is at hand. Be prudent therefore and watch in prayers.
And whatsoever we shall ask, we shall receive of him: because we keep his commandments and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
And this is the confidence which we have towards him: That, whatsoever we shall ask according to his will, he heareth us.
And we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask: we know that we have the petitions which we request of him.
But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
And another angel came and stood before the altar, having a golden censer: and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints, upon the golden altar which is before the throne of God.
And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel.
