  1. Thou shalt pray to him, and he will hear thee, and thou shalt pay vows.

  2. Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall come to thee, and light shall shine in thy ways.

  3. For he that hath been humbled, shall be in glory: and he that shall bow down his eyes, he shall be saved.

  4. I would not that he should contend with me with much strength, nor overwhelm me with the weight of his greatness.

  5. He shall pray to God, and he will be gracious to him: and he shall see his face with joy, and he will render to man his justice.

  6. He shall look upon men, and shall say: I have sinned, and indeed I have offended, and I have not received what I have deserved.

  7. He hath delivered his soul from going into destruction, that it may live and see the light.

  8. My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.

  9. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

  10. And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.

  11. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

  12. Neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on thee shall be confounded.

  13. Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.

  14. Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.

  15. Remember, O Lord, thy bowels of compassion; and thy mercies that are from the beginning of the world.

  16. He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

  17. By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:

  18. I will give thanks to thee in a great church; I will praise thee in a strong people.

  19. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

  20. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the sinner, and out of the hand of the transgressor of the law and of the unjust.

  21. Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name.

  22. He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him.

  23. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

  24. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

  25. Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn.
