  1. When Moshe came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, he didn't realize that the skin of his face was sending out rays of light as a result of his talking with [ADONAI].

  2. When Aharon and the people of Isra'el saw Moshe, the skin of his face was shining; and they were afraid to approach him.

  3. But Moshe called to them; then Aharon and all the community leaders came back to him, and Moshe spoke to them.

  4. Afterwards, all the people of Isra'el came near; and he passed on to them all the orders that ADONAI had told him on Mount Sinai.

  5. Once Moshe had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

  6. But when he went in before ADONAI for him to speak, he would take the veil off until he came out; then, when he came out, he would tell the people of Isra'el what he had been ordered.

  7. But when the people of Isra'el saw Moshe's face, that the skin of Moshe's face shone, he would put the veil back over his face until he went in again to speak with [ADONAI].

  8. As they watched, he began to change form -- his face shone like the sun, and his clothing became as white as light.

  9. Then they looked and saw Moshe and Eliyahu speaking with him.

  10. Kefa said to Yeshua, "It's good that we're here, Lord. I'll put up three shelters if you want -- one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu."

  11. While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them; and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him!"

  12. When the talmidim heard this, they were so frightened that they fell face down on the ground.

  13. But Yeshua came and touched them. "Get up!" he said, "Don't be afraid."

  14. So they opened their eyes, looked up and saw only Yeshua by himself.

  15. As they came down the mountain, Yeshua ordered them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."

  16. Six days later, Yeshua took Kefa, Ya`akov and Yochanan and led them up a high mountain privately. As they watched, he began to change form,

  17. and his clothes became dazzlingly white, whiter than anyone in the world could possibly bleach them.

  18. Then they saw Eliyahu and Moshe speaking with Yeshua.

  19. Kefa said to Yeshua, "It's good that we're here, Rabbi! Let's put up three shelters -- one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu."

  20. (He didn't know what to say, they were so frightened.)

  21. Then a cloud enveloped them; and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!"

  22. Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Yeshua.

  23. As they came down the mountain, he warned them not to tell anyone what they had seen until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

  24. So they kept the matter to themselves; but they continued asking each other, "What is this `rising from the dead'?"

  25. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed; and his clothing became gleaming white.
