  1. No man will be able to stand against you; the LORD your God will put the fear and dread of you upon all the land, wherever you set foot, as He has promised you.

  6. also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah—

  7. the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had remained as a remnant of the Rephaim. Moses had struck them down and dispossessed them,

  8. but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath dwell among the Israelites to this day.

  9. To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, just as He had promised them.

  10. Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel to provide food for the king and his household. Each one would arrange provisions for one month of the year,

  11. and these were their names: Ben-hur in the hill country of Ephraim;

  12. Ben-deker in Makaz, in Shaalbim, in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon-beth-hanan;

  13. Ben-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);

  14. Ben-abinadab in Naphath-dor (Taphath, a daughter of Solomon, was his wife);

  15. Baana son of Ahilud in Taanach, in Megiddo, and in all of Beth-shean next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah and on past Jokmeam;

  16. Ben-geber in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan with its sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);

  17. Ahinadab son of Iddo in Mahanaim;

  18. Ahimaaz in Naphtali (he had married Basemath, a daughter of Solomon);

  19. Baana son of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth;

  20. Jehoshaphat son of Paruah in Issachar;

  21. Shimei son of Ela in Benjamin;

  22. Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, including the territories of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan. There was also one governor in the land of Judah.

  23. King Solomon also assembled a fleet of ships at Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth in Edom, on the shore of the Red Sea.

  24. And Hiram sent his servants, men who knew the sea, to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s servants.

  25. They sailed to Ophir and imported gold from there—420 talents—and delivered it to Solomon.
