  9. But do not be afraid of them. Be sure to remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt:

  10. the great trials that you saw, the signs and wonders, and the mighty hand and outstretched arm by which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.

  11. Moreover, the LORD your God will send the hornet against them until even the survivors hiding from you have perished.

  12. Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.

  13. Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

  14. Then Moses called for Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.

  15. The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

  16. No one shall stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so will I be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

  17. Be strong and courageous, for you shall give these people the inheritance of the land that I swore to their fathers I would give them.

  18. Above all, be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe all the law that My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper wherever you go.

  19. This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do.

  20. Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

  21. The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Am I not sending you?”

  22. “Please, my Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.”

  23. “Surely I will be with you,” the LORD replied, “and you will strike down all the Midianites as one man.”

  24. Your servant has killed lions and bears; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

  25. David added, “The LORD, who delivered me from the claws of the lion and the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” “Go,” said Saul, “and may the LORD be with you.”
