  1. So now, take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you, for I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken accurately about Me, as My servant Job has.”

  2. So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD had told them; and the LORD accepted Job’s request.

  3. After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his prosperity and doubled his former possessions.

  4. All his brothers and sisters and prior acquaintances came and dined with him in his house. They consoled him and comforted him over all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. And each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

  5. So the LORD blessed Job’s latter days more than his first. He owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

  6. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.

  7. For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

  8. The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:

  9. The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.

  10. Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:

  11. “I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”

  12. I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.

  13. Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.

  14. You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”

  15. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

  16. O LORD, how my foes have increased! How many rise up against me!

  17. Many say of me, “God will not deliver him.” Selah

  18. But You, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.

  19. To the LORD I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah

  20. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.

  21. Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.

  22. Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people. Selah

  23. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

  24. How long, O men, will my honor be maligned? How long will you love vanity and seek after lies? Selah

  25. Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.
