  1. Now therefore, take unto you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt-offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him will I accept, that I deal not with you after your folly; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

  2. So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as Jehovah commanded them: and Jehovah accepted Job.

  3. And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: and Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.

  4. Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one a ring of gold.

  5. So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: and he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.

  6. But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.

  7. For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked shall perish.

  8. The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,

  9. He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.

  10. Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:

  11. Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.

  12. I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.

  13. Ask of me, and I will givetheethe nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

  14. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

  15. Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

  16. Jehovah, how are mine adversaries increased! Many are they that rise up against me.

  17. Many there are that say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. [Selah

  18. But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of my head.

  19. I cry unto Jehovah with my voice, And he answereth me out of his holy hill. [Selah

  20. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.

  21. Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

  22. Salvation belongeth unto Jehovah: Thy blessing be upon thy people. [Selah

  23. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress: Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

  24. O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? How longwill ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? [Selah

  25. But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.
