  1. I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you. Your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

  2. Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.

  10. But if the LORD makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up, with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol; then you shall understand that these men have despised the LORD.”

  11. The people quarreled with Moses, and spoke, saying, “We wish that we had died when our brothers died before the LORD!

  12. Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Shall we bring water out of this rock for you?”

  13. The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

  14. “Aaron shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.

  15. Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt, until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.

  16. When the LORD sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, “Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and you didn’t believe him, nor listen to his voice.

  17. You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.

  18. It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the LORD your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

  19. All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to the LORD your God’s voice.

  20. You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field.

  21. You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.

  22. Your basket and your kneading trough shall be blessed.

  23. You shall be blessed when you come in, and you shall be blessed when you go out.

  24. The LORD will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways.

  25. The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to. He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
