  1. For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

  2. The LORD didn’t set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples:

  3. but because the LORD loves you, and because he desires to keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

  4. Know therefore that the LORD your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

  5. Don’t say in your heart, after the LORD your God has thrust them out from before you, saying, “For my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land”; because the LORD drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.

  6. Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

  7. Know therefore, that the LORD your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness; for you are a stiff-necked people.

  8. “Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.

  9. Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that you are righteous? Or does it benefit him, that you make your ways perfect?

  10. Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

  11. When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.

  12. In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

  13. Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me.

  14. He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid: peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me.”

  15. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

  16. It is written in the Prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who hears from the Father, and has learned, comes to me.

  17. I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

  18. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those whom you have given me I have kept. None of them is lost, except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

  19. Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,

  20. while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Yeshua.”

  21. even the righteousness of God through faith in Yeshua the Messiah to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction,

  22. for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

  23. being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Messiah Yeshua;

  24. For while we were yet weak, at the right time Messiah died for the ungodly.

  25. For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.
