Bible Verses About Prayer: Answer to prayer, delayed
Verses on Answer to prayer, delayed
¶ To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
¶ And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.
O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
