  1. ¶ The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

  2. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

  3. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

  4. ¶ ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

  15. But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

  16. Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.

  17. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

  18. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

  19. Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

  20. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

  21. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

  22. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
