  1. I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

  2. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

  3. ¶ All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

  10. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

  11. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

  12. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

  13. ¶ But godliness with contentment is great gain.

  14. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

  15. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
