  1. They that sowe in teares, shall reape in ioy.

  2. The wicked worketh a deceitful worke: but hee that soweth righteousnes, shall receiue a sure rewarde.

  3. He that obserueth ye winde, shall not sow, and he that regardeth the cloudes, shall not reape.

  4. When he hath made it plaine, wil he not then sowe the fitches, and sowe cummin, and cast in wheat by measure, and the appointed barly and rye in their place?

  5. Blessed are ye that sowe vpon all waters, and driue thither the feete of the oxe and the asse.

  6. For they haue sowne the winde, and they shall reape the whirlewind: it hath no stalke: the budde shall bring foorth no meale: if so be it bring forth, the strangers shall deuoure it.

  7. Sowe to your selues in righteousnes: reape after the measure of mercy: breake vp your fallowe grounde: for it is time to seeke the Lord, till he come and raine righteousnesse vpon you.

  8. Then he spake many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sowe.

  9. And as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the foules came and deuoured them vp.

  10. And some fell vpon stony grounde, where they had not much earth, and anon they sprong vp, because they had no depth of earth.

  11. And when the sunne was vp, they were parched, and for lacke of rooting, withered away.

  12. And some fell among thornes, and the thornes sprong vp, and choked them.

  13. Some againe fel in good ground, and brought forth fruite, one corne an hundreth folde, some sixtie folde, and another thirtie folde.

  14. Hearken: Beholde, there went out a sower to sowe.

  15. And it came to passe as he sowed, that some fell by the way side, and the foules of the heauen came, and deuoured it vp.

  16. And some fell on stonie grounde, where it had not much earth, and by and by sprang vp, because it had not depth of earth.

  17. But assoone as ye Sunne was vp, it was burnt vp, and because it had not roote, it withered away.

  18. And some fell among the thornes, and the thornes grewe vp, and choked it, so that it gaue no fruite.

  19. Some againe fell in good grounde, and did yeelde fruite that sprong vp, and grewe, and it brought foorth, some thirtie folde, some sixtie folde, and some an hundreth folde.

  20. Then he said vnto them, He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.

  21. And whe he was alone, they that were about him with the twelue, asked him of ye parable.

  22. And he saide vnto them, To you it is giuen to knowe the mysterie of the kingdome of God: but vnto them that are without, all thinges bee done in parables,

  23. That they seeing, may see, and not discerne: and they hearing, may heare, and not vnderstand, least at any time they should turne, and their sinnes should be forgiuen them.

  24. Againe he said vnto them, Perceiue ye not this parable? howe then should ye vnderstand all other parables?

  25. The sower soweth the worde.
