  1. The Lord turn his countenance to thee, and give thee peace.

  2. And when he shall hear the words of this oath, he should bless himself in his heart saying: I shall have peace, and will walk on in the naughtiness of my heart: and the drunken may consume the thirsty,

  14. For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.

  15. The old error is passed away: thou wilt keep peace: peace, because we have hoped in thee.

  16. Lord, thou wilt give us peace: for thou hast wrought all our works for us.

  17. Or rather shall it take hold of my strength, shall it make peace with me, shall it make peace with me?

  18. And the work of justice shall be peace, and the service of justice quietness, and security for ever.

  20. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!

  21. But he was wounded for our iniquities, he was bruised for our sins: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his bruises we are healed.

  22. For the mountains shall be moved, and the hills shall tremble; but my mercy shall not depart from thee, and the covenant of my peace shall not be moved: said the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

  23. All thy children shall be taught of the Lord: and great shall be the peace of thy children.

  24. For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall sing praise before you, and all the trees of the country shall clap their hands.

  25. Let peace come, let him rest in his bed that hath walked in his uprightness.
