  1. And they hearkened not to him, but some of them left until the morning, and it began to be full of worms, and it putrified, and Moses was angry with them.

  11. That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best ointments: and they are not concerned for the affliction of Joseph.

  12. Wherefore now they shall go captive at the head of them that go into captivity: and the faction of the luxurious ones shall be taken away.

  13. And I will say to my soul: Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years. Take thy rest: eat, drink, make good cheer.

  14. But God said to him: Thou fool, this night do they require thy soul of thee. And whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?

  15. But if that servant shall say in his heart: My Lord is long a coming; and shall begin to strike the men-servants and maid-servants, and to eat and to drink and be drunk:

  16. The lord of that servant will come in the day that he hopeth not, and at the hour that he knoweth not: and shall separate him and shall appoint him his portion with unbelievers.

  17. Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy.

  18. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ: and make not provision for the flesh in its concupiscences.
