  1. As I was yet speaking in prayer, behold the man, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me at the time of the evening sacrifice.

  2. And he instructed me, and spoke to me, and said: O Daniel, I am now come forth to teach thee, and that thou mightest understand.

  15. And the angel said to him: Gird thyself and put on thy sandals. And he did so. And he said to him: Cast thy garment about thee and follow me,

  16. And going out, he followed him. And he knew not that it was true which was done by the angel: but thought he saw a vision.

  17. And passing through the first and the second ward, they came to the iron gate that leadeth to the city which of itself opened to them. And going out, they passed on through one street. And immediately the angel departed from him.

  18. And Peter coming to himself, said: Now I know in very deed that the Lord hath sent his angel and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

  19. For which cause, God also hath exalted him and hath given him a name which is above all names:

  20. That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:

  21. And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.
