Simon
Verses Mentioning Simon
And Simon's wife's mother lay in a fit of a fever: and forthwith they tell him of her.
And Jesus rising up out of the synagogue, went into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever: and they besought him for her.
And going into one of the ships that was Simon's, he desired him to draw back a little from the land. And sitting, he taught the multitudes out of the ship.
And Jesus answering, said to him: Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. But he said: Master, say it.
Simon answering, said: I suppose that he to whom he forgave most. And he said to him: Thou hast judged rightly.
And turning to the woman, he said unto Simon: Dost thou see this woman? I entered into thy house: thou gavest me no water for my feet. But she with tears hath washed my feet; and with her hairs hath wiped them.
Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, he that was about to betray him, said:
And when supper was done (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him),
Now, whilst Peter was doubting within himself what the vision that he had seen should mean, behold the men who were sent from Cornelius, inquiring for Simon's house, stood at the gate.
