God

For every mocker is an abomination to the Lord, and his communication is with the simple.

Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just shall be blessed.

He shall scorn the scorners, and to the meek he will give grace.

The Lord beholdeth the ways of man, and considereth all his steps.

Six things there are, which the Lord hateth, and the seventh his soul detesteth:

The fear of the Lord hateth evil; I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.

The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his ways, before he made any thing from the beginning.

He had not yet made the earth, nor the rivers, nor the poles of the world.

When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law, and compass, he enclosed the depths:

When he established the sky above, and poised the fountains of waters:

When he compassed the sea with its bounds, and set a law to the waters that they should not pass their limits: when he balanced the foundations of the earth;

I was with him forming all things: and was delighted every day, playing before him at all times;

Playing in the world: and my delights were to be with the children of men.

He that shall find me, shall find life, and shall have salvation from the Lord.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.

The Lord will not afflict the soul of the just with famine, and he will disappoint the deceitful practices of the wicked.

The blessing of the Lord maketh men rich: neither shall affliction be joined to them.

The fear of the Lord shall prolong days: and the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

The strength of the upright is the way of the Lord: and fear to them that work evil.

A deceitful balance is an abomination before the Lord: and a just weight is his will.

A perverse heart is abominable to the Lord: and his will is in them that walk sincerely.

He that is good, shall draw grace from the Lord: but he that trusteth in his own devices, doth wickedly.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal faithfully, please him.

He that walketh in the right way, and feareth God, is despised by him that goeth by an infamous way.

In the fear of the Lord is confidence of strength, and there shall be hope for his children.
