  1. Yes, indeed! I tell you that what we speak about, we know; and what we give evidence of, we have seen; but you people don’t accept our evidence!

  12. You’ve had five husbands in the past, and you’re not married to the man you’re living with now! You’ve spoken the truth!”

  13. “Sir, I can see that you are a prophet,” the woman replied.

  14. So the woman left her water-jar, went back to the town and said to the people there,

  15. “Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done. Could it be that this is the Messiah?”

  16. Yes, indeed! I tell you that there is coming a time — in fact, it’s already here — when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen will come to life.

  17. For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has given the Son life to have in himself.

  18. Also he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

  19. Don’t be surprised at this; because the time is coming when all who are in the grave will hear his voice

  20. and come out — those who have done good to a resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to a resurrection of judgment.

  21. But the bread that comes down from heaven is such that a person may eat it and not die.

  22. I am the living bread that has come down from heaven; if anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. Furthermore, the bread that I will give is my own flesh; and I will give it for the life of the world.”

  23. Then Yeshua said to them, “Yes, indeed! I tell you that unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.

  24. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life — that is, I will raise him up on the Last Day.

  25. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
