  1. And Moses fled at this saying, and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he begat two sons.

  2. whom Jason hath received: and these all act contrary to the decrees of Cæsar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.

  12. for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

  13. But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  14. Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

  15. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.

  16. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

  17. For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:

  18. And let him turn away from evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and pursue it.
