  1. If I have despised the cause of my man-servant or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;

  2. What then shall I do when God riseth up? And when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?

  3. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

  4. Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence: A fire devoureth before him, And it is very tempestuous round about him.

  5. He calleth to the heavens above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people:

  6. Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

  7. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. [Selah

  8. The soul that sinneth, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

  9. But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

  10. None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

  11. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

  12. But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

  13. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

  14. When the righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth therein; in his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

  15. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

  16. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

  17. I beheld till thrones were placed, and one that was ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire.

  18. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

  19. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?

  20. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  21. And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

  22. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

  23. The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.

  24. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

  25. As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.
