  9. but that we write unto them, that they abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.

  10. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

  11. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.

  12. I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;

  13. not at all meaning with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:

  14. but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.

  15. Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:

  16. Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid.

  17. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

  18. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

  19. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,

  20. who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

  21. But ye did not so learn Christ;

  22. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;

  23. and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

  24. for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.

  25. Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
